PHP is an “HTML-embedded scripting language” primarily used for dynamic Web applications. PHP was written in the c programming language by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1994 for use in monitoring his online resume and related personal information. PHP originally stood for personal home page, but it now stands for Hypertext Preprocessor. It is an open source technology and runs on most of operating system and with most web servers. PHP is basically used for developing web based software applications. PHP is used to manage dynamic content, databases, session tracking, even build entire e-commerce sites.
